I live downtown in my city , when I first moved here I loved meeting new people and making friends. But certain men would take my kindness and would turn pure convos into something cringe and it honestly happened enough to where now I don’t really hello to my neighbors . I don’t want to seem conceited. It’s now my unintentional nature looking “unapproachable” because if I actually do smile - some guys will literally throw a rampage and threaten you when you don’t stop your whole life to talk to them while walking to the store or something. I look Tuff and closed off on the outside . But on the inside - I’m scared and afraid someone will try to prey on me. If a guy compliments me on my appearance, I don’t say anything back because they take it too far and I honestly don’t show skin like that at all. I only say hi back to the male neighbors that have never given me “weird energy” before, those who seem to have pure intentions . I know how to micmic looking like a well “b****” because I had friends who actually were like that. I’d rather look like a black woman with an attitude - in a friendly, naïve ditzy gal who is obligated to “ say hello to everyone and stop in my tracks and politely decline handing my number out three times ) and it makes me a little mad bc all this and I’m not even “all that”. I’m very average basic looking. I just had to say that because I don’t wanna make it seem like I’m stroking my ego. There is no ego. Just a regular black woman trying to breathe and pay bills .
